On October 5, 2018, a delegation from the University of Zakho headed by Dr.Kanaan R. Ahmed paid an official visit to the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Science. The delegation was welcomed by Director of the institute Dr. Vladimir Anatolievich D’yakonov and Professor Dr. Boris Ivanovich Kutepov-Head of the laboratory preparation of catalysts. The aim of the visit was to sign an academic cooperation agreement. The Parties agreed to cooperate in the following areas :

• Exchange of scholars, students and postgraduate students.
• Research and analysis.
• Special courses for students of the University.
It is worthwhile to mention that in accordance with the purposes and objectives of collaboration both sides may cooperate in other directions, which will be stipulated in additional and separate agreements and protocols.
